2017 has been a busy year at Life and Family Services
WOW what a year 2017 has been so far!
Our staff and volunteers at Life and Family have been very busy in the first half of 2017. Our current client count for 2017 is at 218 people with 855 visits to our facilities. That is a 24% increase in visits over 2016 during the same period of time. Our client count is slightly up as well.
What does this tell us? It states we have families wanting to better themselves by accessing the prenatal and parenting education provided by Life and Family Services and The BABE Store material assistance program. This past week we have assisted more than 40 people with our services. This includes 7 new clients that are beginning their journey with us.
Our Staff
Our staff and volunteers assist our clients throughout the week. We provide life-transforming services related to pregnancy, parenting, and sexual integrity. We have the opportunity to get to know women who are struggling with an unplanned pregnancy and feel hopeless in their circumstances. Because of difficult emotional pain, there are times when clients feel pressured into making rushed pregnancy decisions. We are here to help clients in this situation with a message of hope and accurate options education. Without judgment, we share the truth in love and promise to walk with our clients beyond their pregnancy decision.
Debbie Derby has been with our organization for 8 years. Jessica Conley began working with us in January and is currently on maternity leave. She and her husband Logan were blessed with a beautiful baby in May. Tonya Ogle began working in our Ligonier office in February. Korynn Freels is the coordinator of the Peers program. We also are blessed to have Susan Minser, Judy Butler, Julie Zollman, and Sylvia Ensley volunteering their time to assist our ministry.
Sharing our services with Noble House
We are taking our services to Noble House each week. We are providing prenatal and parenting education to the residents there. The Pilot House residents are participating in our Dad2Dad mentoring available in our Kendallville office on Monday evenings at 5:00 pm. This program offers ongoing support to prepare you to be the best father you can be. The program will teach you how to improve your bond and deepen the communication skills between you and the mother of your child. It is led by Pastor Percy Young and his son Ryan and open to any young father or father-to-be.

You can help us assist others in Noble County
Become a financial partner: Life and Family Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to promote life, strengthen families and offer hope through God’s love. With your continued support, individuals facing pregnancy decisions will have access to information to help them make decisions for life on realistic alternatives to abortion. With your gift, we can continue to empower women and men faced with life-altering decisions at our offices in Kendallville and Ligonier.
Material items needed: Our BABE Stores needs diapers. We are extremely low on size 6 diapers. We offer 10-12 diapers, depending on the brand, for 1 voucher earned by the parents. Vouchers can be earned at our offices and from 30+ partners throughout Noble County. Of course a donation of anything baby through age 4 is appropriate for Life and Family Services. These donations increase what we can do to assist young families.
Include our clients, staff and volunteers in your prayers. We are experiencing many difficult situations that need prayer support.
We are also looking for a volunteer person or small group willing to complete a remodel project in our facility. Please contact us at 260-347-5720 if you are interested.
Thank you
Our Baby Bottle Campaign has been occurring over the past month. We want to say THANK YOU to the churches, civic organizations, and businesses that have participated this year.
