October @ Springfield

We are Springfield. That means something.

Spotlight on October

October is a treat at Springfield Elementary. Check out what's happening and be sure to mark your calendars for the events detailed in our October newsletter!

Lunch Menu Changes

You may have seen on the news that school cafeterias across the country are experiencing food and paper shortages. Please be advised that our food service management company is doing the very best they can to serve the meal that is listed on the daily menu; however, many items are being delivered in reduced quantities which may cause unanticipated changes to the daily menu. We will make sure that students are aware of the change during their morning announcements and we will continue to offer alternate choices daily. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Wheels of Freestyle Assembly!

Our students are in for a treat on October 13th! Thanks to our H&S Association, the Wheels of Freestyle Assembly will be stopping by Springfield Elementary for a special outdoor assembly that is sure to thrill the students.

5th & 6th Grade Dance

Our 5th and 6th grade students are getting their boogie shoes all shined up for a special outdoor dance on Friday, October 15th. 5th graders will be grooving from 6 to 7 and our 6th graders will be cha-cha sliding from 7:30 to 8:30.

Breakfast kits are sent home each day with students and registration is quick & easy...just click here to complete the form and your child is set for the year. Getting a free lunch is even easier! Students simply order the entrée (menu attached at the bottom of this newsletter) or daily alternate during homeroom and that's it!
