The B.Y.E. Buzz
December 6, 2021
Principal Corner
We hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving break. We are all rested and have been hard at work this past week. We have two more weeks before Christmas break. Teachers have some engaging activities and projects planned as we finalize the last few weeks of the semester. We hope all students can be present every day (unless they are sick).
Reminders: If students are late or picked up early, please sign them in/out. Students have been marked absent because we don't have them listed as checking in. You can scan the QR code at the door OR on the signs in the parking lot. Thank you for your help with this!
See the 7 Days of Holiday Fun below!!! We are excited to have some extra spirit days! The PTA has a great way to sponsor a teacher. See below!
Spelling Bee Winners
Thank you to Mrs. Peters for organizing and leading our Bee. A special thank you to judges, Mrs. Green and Mrs. Dickard.
Important-Notes from The Nurse

PTA Update- Sponsor a Teacher
Christmas is coming! Do you want to sponsor a teacher? Please donate through the PTA store to sponsor a teacher. We are hoping to provide the school staff with a special gif this holiday season. Any donation is appreciated. Yearbook prices are now $25. Please order through the PTA store.
A Note from Mrs. Nelson (School Counselor)- Character Word- Gratitude
December’s Character Word is Gratitude. Gratitude is being aware of and thankful for the good things that happen in your life and taking the time to express appreciation and return kindness.

Practice it!
Start a gratitude journal with your child. Get a blank notebook and work together to design it. Each night, spend time together adding the things you are thankful for. It is fun to review your list every once in a while to see all of the things you have to be grateful for!
Talk About It!
What do you think gratitude means and why is it important?
How do you think being grateful for what you have can affect your attitude?
What are some big things you are thankful for? What are some small things?
What are some things you can do at home and at school to remember to be more thankful?
