Principal Manning's Message
Greeting,
Thank you for an excellent start to our school year! Everyone seems eager to learn and grow. Our students have been doing well with our school expectations toward success; however, below, you will see areas where students need to improve. A friendly reminder, please sign and return Title 1 compacts and free/reduced lunch forms, turned in ASAP. I also want to remind everyone that outside food is not allowed in the lunchroom if it is in a bag that shows advertising.
Pertinent Information
Tardy Policy
When students acquire their 3rd unexcused tardy to school, they will be assigned to either AM or PM detention. On the 4th unexcused tardy, they will be given two days of either AM or PM confinement. On the 5th and beyond unexcused tardy, students will be assigned time in In School Suspension (ISS).
Unexcused check-in and unexcused check-out policy:
Students who check in and out for unexcused reasons will be assigned AM or PM detention when they acquire their 3rd offense. These policies are in place to keep our students in school every day. Please reach out to the office if you have any questions.
Homecoming 2022 information:
9/30/22 vs. North Jackson
The homecoming dance for grades 9-12 will be on 9/24. The venue is yet to be determined.
Later, I will let you know about the Homecoming dance details for grades 7-8.
The homecoming parade will be on 9/29 at 5:30. It will conclude at the high school with a community pep rally and bonfire behind the practice field. More specific details will be coming soon.
I am looking forward to weeks to come!
Thank you,
David Manning

Covid Attendance GuidelinesChromebook Distribution
Chromebook Distribution
Students are assigned a Chromebook. They are permitted to keep their Chromebooks for the entire school year and return it in May 2023. If a Chromebook is lost or stolen, the parent & student are responsible for paying the lost or stolen Chromebook fees to replace the Chromebook, which is an estimated $200. If there are any questions about Chromebooks, please contact Mrs. Largen, Media Specialist, or Mrs. Ryans, AP.
Codes of Conduct, Procedures & Policies
Dress Code
We need your help with dress code. Crop tops are not allowed. Shorts for boys and girls are not to be too tight and must be mid thigh or longer in length. The top worn with leggings must be mid thigh length as well. If a student is out of dress code we will call home for a change of clothing. Multiple offenses will result in ISS.

Very Important Information about How We Qualify to be a Title I School at New Hope High
PayPAMS
Attention Parents,
After we receive all the forms from our families, this will determine if we will continue to receive funds from the Federal Government.
https://paypams.com/Online free and reduced meal applications are available here online at PayPams. A new application must be completed each school year to qualify for free or reduced meals. Your child's eligibility status carries over to the new school year for the first 30 school days, allowing parents time to re-apply. Only one application per household should be submitted, and everyone living in the house must be included in the application.
You may request a paper application from your child's teacher. Reminder: One application per family, even if you have children attending different schools in our system. Your eligibility may be checked at any time during the school year. You may be asked to provide documentation to verify your income.
Free and Reduce Lunch Terms to Know
Please allow ten working days to process your application. You will receive a notification letter from the Central Office Child Nutrition Program office of your eligibility status.
Direct Certification
If you receive a letter stating you are free DCRT for this school year, you are not required to fill out an application.
Foster Children
A foster child living in your home qualifies for free meals regardless of income. You may include all foster children on the same application as the rest of your household.
New Students
New students must bring money for meals until their application is processed and approved.
Student Transfer
If a student transfers within the Madison County School System, their eligibility will also transfer. A new application is not necessary.
Income Application
An income application must have a signature and the last four (4) digits of the social security number of the parent/guardian. We cannot process your application without this information.
Confidentiality: All information is confidential and will only be used for the meal program unless you request to release the information. Student computer accounts look identical to
cash-paying students so that no one can tell any student's status. We respect your privacy.
