Summer Library Program at the MVMS Library

This summer the middle school library will be open for all middle school students as well as incoming 5th graders. The library will be open from 10:00 - 12:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting June 4th through July 25th. There won't be any hours during the 4th of July week.

Students are invited to simply checkout materials or can participate in literacy events with Mrs. Steele or Mrs. Kragenbrink. Any questions - please feel free to email or call the middle school.

There is no cost associated to participate. Bring a friend and keep reading!

Summer Library Programs at Local Public Libraries

There are many public libraries in the area that have great summer programs appropriate for 5th through 8th grades.

"Dig into Reading," is a reading program that is geared toward students age 3-11 years. This program is the theme at all of the local public libraries. Cole Library has a registration event at Hills Bank on May 22 from 5-8 p.m. You may register at the library after that date. Some of the larger libraries also offer the young adult program, "Beneath the Surface." The best way to check out what is happening at local libraries is to look at their calendar and get involved.

Get your library card, check out the hours the library is open and KEEP READING!
