Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences are Oct. 26-27
Visit with teachers about your child's academic progress
Watch for information from your child's school about Parent-Teacher Conferences on Oct. 26 and Oct. 27.
Parent-Teacher Conferences (or Student-Led Conferences at some grade levels) provide an important opportunity to learn about your child's academic progress. Often, you will see examples of student work or information about assessments.
The conferences are also a time to discuss strategies to support student learning at school and at home.

What About Report Cards
What about report cards?

Oct. 13 was the end of the first quarter, and parents of students in PreK to grade 6 will be able to access first quarter report cards onFriday, Oct. 21, via TeacherEase.Teachers will review the information in more detail at Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Students in grades 7-8 receive progress reports every 9 weeks (quarters 1 and 3) and a semester report card at the end of each semester. Progress reports include scale scores for each course and no GPA. Only semester report cards at the middle school have letter grades. Parents can also view student scores via TeacherEase.
Students in grades 9-12 receive progress reports electronically at six-week intervals. The third report is the first semester grade, and the sixth report is the second semester grade. High school grades are reported through the Parent Portal.

Box Tops
We collect Box Tops, Best Choice and Campbell's labels. The first Box Tops deadline is Nov. 1st for mailing. If you've got any at home PLEASE send them in to your child's homeroom teacher. And, if you could, please check expiration dates (it really does matter) and trim them? Heather is a great volunteer to put all this together but if we can save her some work on the front end I'm sure she'll appreciate it! With Box Tops and the other labels, we'll take them all year. Anything we can't use before Bridle Ridge Intermediate ceases to exist, we'll have for the elementary that emerges. Tell your kids to watch for an informative and fun video to be shared during announcements later this month.

PTA/APEX Fundraiser
Bridle Ridge will be participating in the APEX Fun Run as our fundraiser this year! Apex leaders will be in the building for two weeks to teach lessons with a LEGENDS theme on leadership that culminates in a fun run that the kids gather pledges towards. The monies that the PTA keeps will go towards our field trips and yearbooks. Additionally 10% of classroom funds goes back directly to teacher led classroom spending.
Monday Oct. 31st is the teacher "huddle" before school and at the end of the day a Pep Rally to pass out student materials. Then for 8 school days Apex coaches will present a quick leadership lesson taught. Don't worry, your kids will still get plenty of classroom time! Lessons are only 8 minutes long and teachers will sign up for the time that works best for them to not interfere with SCHOOL. Nov. 9th is our fun run! Volunteers will be needed. For more information you can visit their facebook page or contact Kristi or Allison Bruflat.
