Help us create the NCS K-4 STEMLAB!
our inquiry-based, hands-on, reinvented Computer Lab!
We're dreaming BIG. Will you help us?
We want to "reinvent" the NCS K-4 Computer Lab as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) course. Students will attend class once a week like they always have, but in a new classroom space being designed just for them. With lots of natural light, comfortable seats, movable desks for easy group work, and a mobile-friendly layout, this lab will be unique, kid-focused, and inquiry-driven.

Our Plan So Far...
Engineering is Elementary
This program is in use at leading elementary schools across the country. Its hands-on engineering lessons are the perfect complement to our existing technology curriculum.
Google Chromebooks
Having proven their value in our PTO-funded 60-day trial in 4th grade earlier this year, Chromebooks are fast, reliable and easy to use. They also cost much less than traditional PCs.
Google Docs
NCS is moving into "the cloud!" Again, the 60-day Chromebook trial in 4th grade proved for all concerned that Google Docs is a viable platform for learning. Since it's web-based, kids have access wherever they are.
