Indroduction to Polynomials
Polynomials consist of:
- Variables and Coefficients
- that only involve addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non negative integers
x2 − 4x + 7 this is a example of a quadratic polynomial
Vocabulary
Polynomial: a monomial or the sum of monomial
Degree: the power of the exponent
Standard form of a Polynomial: has the terms in descending order by degree
Degree of a Polynomial: largest degree of any term of the polynomial
Monomial: a number, variable, or the product of a number and variable(s)
