There are 5 types of zones in the deciduous forest the tree stratum zone, saping zone, scrub zone, herb zone and a ground zone. The tree stratum zone contains trees as oaks, walnuts, elm and maple trees. The saping zone has young and short trees. The scrub zone has azales, mountain, laurel, and huckleberries. The herb zone contains linchen, club mosses, and true mosses.
Animals hibernate in the winter and live off land in the other seasons. Poachers are trying to kill the animals. Bears, raccoons, squirrels, skunks, deers, bobcats, coyotes, and mountain lions are animals you will find in Deciduous forest. Because of this they use the trees for shelter and protection from other predators as well as food or water.
