Last year the following schools indicated they will be participating: Wentworth, Bethany, Central, Huntsville, Williamsburg
Are there other schools who are planning to participate? Please complete this survey to communicate interest.
Reminder - According to the E-BOB guidelines, each school must have a licensed SLMC who is a member of NCSLMA serving as coach. You may also recruit another helper (teacher, AIG specialist, parent) to help with coaching responsibilities.
Technology Equipment Procedures
Effective August 24, 2016
1. Prelims and Entering Devices into Destiny:
Technology Services will deliver all devices to the Media Center/Specialist and they will enter his/her own devices in Destiny according to his/her needs. Technology will provide a delivery ticket to accompany all deliveries through the new App. (App is in testing now)
Technicians will continue to only add to Destiny the large high school Chromebook order (without prelim). We contracted this out this year.
2. Removal of Discards from Schools:
We will be creating a “Removal of Item(s) Ticket” much like the delivery ticket.
Items that will not be returned to the school will be listed on the ticket. This information sheet will be emailed to the Media Specialist through the new app. (App is in testing now)
Technology will take care of transferring items in Destiny or deleting them if the item is recycled.
3. Upgrades to computers located at schools
If an upgrade is preformed to a computer’s operating system, the school’s technician will complete a delivery ticket. This will allow for the current status of the lab to be known to the Media Specialist.
4. New Work Order App
The App is in testing phase now that school is back in session. The App will provide locations not only for work orders but delivery tickets and discards/transfers.
Work order status will be emailed to the person that created the ticket.
All delivery and discard tickets will be emailed to the Media Specialist. We will be collecting an electronic signature (think UPS) for deliveries . This will be part of the collection process. We are doing away with paper copies.
