Culinary Arts Senior, Takirah Spencer-White prepared the Super Bowl cake which was decorated by Bethalys Torres. The cake was raffled off on Friday and Mr. Cerqueira was the lucky winner. Proceeds are going to the Dan Jordan Scholarship Fund. Photo courtesy of Mr. Green.
Freshmen Criminal Justice Students Tour Canton Police Station by Mr. Welch
On Monday February 6th, 2017 the ninth grade criminal justice program from Blue Hills Regional Technical School visited the Canton Police Department. Officer Scott Connor the school resource officer/advisory chairman met with students and guided the tour. 14 students toured the entire facility to see the inner workings of the department. Students had a chance to meet with Chief Ken Berkowitz and Deputy Chief Helena Finland.
Students toured through the 9-1-1 communication center, the holding cell areas, and all other units of the police station. They also were shown how the 911 system works. Students experienced how fingerprints are developed and stored, and how you are processed into the system. They also were shown how the 911 system works.
