Substance Use Student Survey Parent Preview & Opt-Out Info

The purpose of the Substance Use Survey is to collect information on drug, alcohol, and tobacco use among students in New Albany - Plain Local Schools. A long term goal is to monitor the trends in alcohol and drug habits in the community. Students in grades 7, 9, and 11 will be completing the anonymous survey during the survey window of January 24-31, 2023. Parents can preview the survey for grades 7 - 12.

District and building results will be shared with parents at a future Board of Education meeting and through the building newsletters. Parents may opt their student(s) out of the survey by completing this opt-out form.

Breakfast Availability

Did you know that breakfast is available to students in 1st through 12th grade? It is important that all students get a healthy start to the school day. At the Middle and High Schools, breakfast is available in the Middle School serving line in the cafeteria. Options include hot and cold items. Some of the grab and go options are breakfast sandwiches, french toast sticks with sausage and hashbrowns, cereals with milk and fresh fruit. The cost for breakfast is $1.50 for each student.

The NAHS Theatre Department is excited to announce auditions for its spring play, Clue: On Stage - High School Edition!

A comedic murder mystery based upon the classic Hasbro board game and the 1985 film, Clue is set in Boddy Manor, an imposing Gothic Victorian house replete with myriad rooms, where Mr. Green, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet, and Mrs. White have gathered to confront their blackmailer, the aptly named Mr. Boddy. When Boddy's body is discovered, the colorful cast, with the help of Boddy's staff, race to figure out "whodunnit."

Monologue auditions will be held on Monday, January 30th and Wednesday, February 1st from 2:45 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the HS Mini Theater. Check out all of the audition information as well as sign up for an audition appointment on Mr. Lemberg's portal.
