‘Lord, Lord, open the door for us!’
The playlist below offers a number of ways your family can focus on being light and a source of hope. Pick and choose what activities you and your children will find most meaningful or help to fill a void of knowledge you do not have about our Catholic faith. God's invitation and open door is always there for us...the question is whether or not we are approaching the threshold!

Write!
- The theme of this week's Gospel reminds us of the value of being prepared. Adequate preparation is not always an easy task but it can solve a lot of problems before they form. Write about a time that you found yourself unprepared. What were the consequences?
- Create a family schedule to practice being prepared for the week ahead. At the end of the week, talk about the value of preparation in your family life and the impact it had on the feeling of each day!
- What do you think heaven is like? Write a journal entry describing it, using as many details as you can. Try this exercise with all family members and compare your journal entries!

- Veteran's Day is this week. Create a tribute to all the veterans who have made the choice to serve and give hope to others in difficult times. if you know a veteran, send him or her a thank you note from your family!
- Make a HOPE collage. Cut out pictures from magazines and mail of all the things that make you feel hopeful
WONDER!
- What do you think it feels like when you go to heaven?
- Have you ever felt hopeful about something that turned out better?
- What can I do to share hope with my friends?
- When life seems scary, what do I need to feel more hope-filled?
- Who would you like to be able to see in heaven?
- How do I feel when I'm unprepared?
