TMS Performers to visit TG!

Hello! My name is Joan Schubin, and I'm the new performing arts teacher at Timberlane. I hope this finds you well.

I'm writing because my class is working on a children's theater unit where they have to adapt a children's book into a play, and we would love the chance to perform it for the students at Toll Gate. My students read the book, develop the script, audition, create the sets and costumes, and perform the piece. The goal of this unit is for the students to experience all the work that goes into a production, and give them the chance to perform for an audience which is something they typically might not have the opportunity to do. We are having a great time developing "Miss Nelson is Missing" into a script, and are looking forward to hopefully doing it for an audience.

We did this last year - if you would be interested in having your class watch their show, please email me. We are looking at Monday, June 20th for their visit.

Teacher Contest from Lawrence Family Chiropractic

I received this from LFC for an opportunity for teachers to win a funds for school supplies!

Below is a screenshot from our Facebook page where we are holding a contest for teachers to be nominated, or nominate themselves, to be one of two teachers we raise funds for on Pennington Day (Saturday, May 21st). We know teachers spend an average of $500 per school year on supplies for their classroom and we want to help. If you'd like to nominate someone, please go to the contest post on our Facebook page to enter. Remember, teachers can nominate themselves!

Your Input is Needed!

You know me, already thinking ahead to the future! Before things get too incredibly crazy, please take a few moments to think about what you might want to learn more about next year during our meeting times together. This might play nicely into your PGPs that we are creating during our annual conferences.

Please click this link for the PD Survey for 2016-2017. Thank you!

Annual Reminders

When preparing for your annual, please make sure to complete your SGOs and your PGP, including your hours. We will also discuss your goals for next year's PGP, so please think of what you might want to be working on for the future. It is suggested that you look at the Technology Competencies to see if there are any areas that you need to learn more about - this can be included in your PGP.

Please review the folder link to access all annual information needed.

Check here for the schedule of annuals with me, if I am doing yours this year.
