100th Day of School….Week!
I hope you all had a nice long weekend! This week we will celebrate the 100th Day of School with lots of 100 themed activities.
Dates to Remember:
Friday, Jan. 23rd- 100th Day of School Fashion Show- Send your child to school wearing 100 items. (Note went home)
No Tests This Week!

We have a student shadowing tomorrow, January 20th. The parents will be touring our classroom around 9am. Please encourage best behavior! I'll send a special note home to those who were on task and working quietly!

This week we will learn about Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. with a reading from our textbook. We will watch a Brainpop video and will create a mini booklet as a performance assessment.

Science
This week we will read Chapter 11: On the Move. We will learn about position and motion, pushes and pulls, simple machines, and magnets. We have a science kit in our Fun Friday centers full of magnets that the kids always run to! This will be a fun unit. We have new magnet kits too!
100th Day- Friday Celebration
We are going to work really hard this week to have Friday as our all day 100th day celebration. This is a great opportunity to add math to fun activities. We will be counting, skip counting, and working in "100" themed stations!
