Upcoming Schedule

Big picture

Hybrid Attendance

Your student is expected to come to campus on their assigned cohort days. It will be counted as an unexcused absence if a student does not attend school in person on those days. Please contact Jenny Guynn (719-685-2127) if you have questions about attendance.

COVID Intake Form

If your student has been exposed to a close contact with COVID 19, diagnosed with COVID 19, or are in the process of being tested for COVID 19 and/or having symptoms, or someone in your household is being tested or suspected of having COVID 19, please fill out the attached COVID intake form and keep them home until you hear further direction from a member of the district’s COVID Response Team. The form is also available on the main page of the district website by clicking on the green box titled ‘MSSD COVID Intake Form’.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 18th (1:30 - 7:00 PM) and Friday, February 19th (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM). We will use the same format as our fall conferences (group conferences with all teachers from a grade level team and individual conferences with exploratory teachers). Conferences will be virtual. Band and Orchestra Update

In Mr. Weimer’s band and orchestra class, the students are all studying pieces rich in musical concepts and history. They have selected one piece to learn as a solo. Once the students have learned the piece, they will record it with our new Smart Music online tool, and write a well-researched paper on the history of their piece. Then, Mr. Weimer will connect the recording and paper to a QR code which is then going to be hung in the middle school hallways along with original album artwork by each student. These student performances will be updated throughout this semester.
