Pictures will be held in the multi purpose room from 7:30am to 12:00pm. Preschool families have the option of coming in for pictures! You will receive an email for ordering pictures this year, there are no order forms.

Welcome back!!! The new year came in “hot” and it seems summer wants to hang around a bit yet!!


Riceville has a new addition- the splash pad at the Library City Park- due to the hard work from our awesome Riceville Community Club members through donations from grants, fundraisers, individuals, businesses, banks, and organizations and many hours of “sweat equity” from the members and individuals in the community. What a wonderful addition to our little town!!


Get out and enjoy this new addition and have a great weekend!

Riceville Staff Amazing Race Winning Team

Congratulations to the Pink Team for winning the Riceville Staff Amazing Race on Thursday, August 17th! The team completed 9 race routes with a winning time of 2 hours and 5 minutes. Team members included Andrea Bauer, Shary Ebert, Marcy Jennison, Shannon Pickar, Izzy Worrall and Amy O'Donnell!

Fill the Food Pantry Challenge

Our Amazing Riceville Faculty competed in a Back to School Amazing Race Challenge on August 17th! One of the race routes was "Fill the Food Pantry!", a partnership with the Riceville Food Pantry to donate non-perishable food items from community members. Together the 9 teams collected a total of 169# of food. A big thank you to Barb Gesell, Kennedy Linkenmeyer, and Lynch Livestock for donating the collection bags!


Congratulations to our winning staff team that collected 31.5 pounds of food. The team members were Harv Demuth, Kris Cother, Sara Hollenbeck, Stacy Hanson, Samantha Reddel and Kendra Evans.

All-Sport Golf Race Partnership

The Riceville Staff Amazing Race also included a partnership with the RIceville Golf Board. All 9 teams needed to golf one hole of the golf course using alternative sports equipment versus golf clubs. A shout-out to Heidi Shedenhelm, Sal Gomez, Gunnar Smith, Deanna Eastman and Grant Anderson with their help in organizing and facilitating this route.


The Blue Team won with a score of 7 and team members included Maria Knode, Traci Langam, Kayla Kraft, Shannon Seehusen, Stef Fair and Julie Dohlman!
