TMS Weekly Update 2019-2020

June 12th, 2020

Put 2019-2020 in the books

So today marks the last day of the 2019-2020 school year. It is one that we all probably would like to move on from, but to do so without noting all the wonderful effort that students and teachers put in during these days of remote learning would not be right. Being adaptable is one of the most important traits humans can possess and, as we all know, life is always changing. When we manage the small changes, our lives are more enjoyable and successfully adapting our lives, when big changes come about, makes us stronger as people. We should come out of this pandemic stronger people, able to persevere and better able to maneuver through difficult times.

I applaud all of the parents for managing all the aspects of family life, work and helping students through this new experience of remote learning. It hasn't been easy, and I am glad you have a little time to get away from remote learning and hopefully enjoy summer weather.

8th Grade Moving On and Thank You to the PTO

We had a memorable 8th Grade Moving On Parade this past Wednesday. Students were able to be applauded by their faculty for their accomplishments. It was not traditional, but it was wonderful to see everyone! Pictures of the students and their decorated cars will be on our website today. Congratulations to all of our eighth graders!

Once again, thank you to the TPS PTO for all they do, and providing the signature t-shirts for our eighth graders!

Yearbook Delivery and Pickup

Yearbooks will arrive on Friday, June 26th. Yearbook distribution, for all grade levels, will happen outside at TMS on Monday, June 29th, from 9:00am to 12:00pm. We will have tables set up out front, by grade level. There are only 34 yearbooks left! If you have not ordered a yearbook yet, and would like to do so, here is the link. We encourage ordering your yearbook online ahead of time, as we will have very little cash on hand on June 29th.

Please email michelle.cirrone@tyngsboroughps.org if you are unsure if you have already paid for a yearbook.

Eighth Grade Awards

We were able to hold the Eighth Grade Awards Presentation virtually on Tuesday Night. If you have not seen but would like to, the link is on the tab below.

We are in need of members, volunteers and board members.

In addition to board member positions - we need parents/guardians to help as a grade level Arts & Enrichment Coordinator. This is mostly via email and takes minimal time (couple of hours over the entire school year) on your part but is very important to the overall success of our programming!

Message us on our Facebook page or email us at Tyngsborough.PTO@gmail.com with any questions or you interest. For the A&E grade level coordinator please include your name and child’s grade to let us know you’d be interested in helping out.
