1 month to go!
Please stay connected with the school and your student in order to have a successful end to the school year. Here are a few reminders/tips:
- Be sure everyone is checking PowerSchool for grades and assignments.
- Be sure to follow PRIDE! Be Prepared. Respectful. Independent. Disciplined. & Empathetic.
- Keep phones away and limit the amount of social media/group chats. We have seen an increase in online negativity that has led to school issues.
- Be kind to one another and talk about any stresses.
- Be present and on-time for school (7:40am).
- Get to class on-time. Spending extra time in the hallways and restrooms cause problems and take away from instructional time.
Laptops:
- When June comes, we will begin our laptop collection. Please make sure your student is taking care of their laptop and using it appropriately.
- Students should not be downloading any outside software or trying to change settings on their laptops.
- Students should not be writing/drawing on their computers or adding stickers. These must be removed or cleaned off.
- Make sure you have ALL components (laptop, charger, and bag).
As a general rule, these are the prices for most of what we charge for.
Missing Chargers (Mac or Chrome): $50
Missing Case/Bag: $30
Broken Screens (Mac only): $160-$200 depending on vendor
Missing Laptops: Chromebooks ~$300, Macbook- $899

WELLNESS UPDATE
A Message from the School Nurse
Attention all 6th Graders and Parents:
The state of Maryland requires that all children be current on their immunizations. Before your child enters the 7th grade they are required to have updated Tdap and MCV vaccines (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis and Meningitis). Please check with your child’s doctor to make sure that they are up to date on all of their vaccines and provide proof of their vaccines to the school nurse. Per Maryland state law, your child will be excluded from school once they start their 7th grade year if we do not have proof of their vaccinations.
Thanks, LMS School Health Room Staff
