Dismissal Expectations: Please review the following slide with your 4th period today and each Monday. It will also be in morning announcements. The staggered dismissal will only work, if we can get students to do the right thing.
Volunteers Needed to have classroom recorded: For my next Principal Network meeting and the Secondary Instructional Leadership Network meeting (assistant principals, deans, IFs, etc.), I have been asked to share a video, about 20 minutes, of a teacher actively instructing his or her classroom. As a group, we will be looking at the video and reviewing it for Cognia tenets in Eleot, specifically B, C, and D in this document. I will be uploading the video in Stream to share with colleagues, and would take the video in the next two week. From the video, you would get a LOT of feedback from multiple instructional leaders in the district. If this sounds like something that you would be interested in, please email me, and we can chat. Thanks for considering.
Cubs Bookings PP: This is a resource that Mrs. Donaldson shared with her team. I think it is worth sharing with everyone. We have about 10 conferences booked so far. I created the attached PPT to show to my CUBs students tomorrow.
Feel free to download and use, change, or ignore!

Ways to Encourage Bilingual Learning in a monolingual classroom: This was information that Mrs. Barnhill shared with me this summer. It may be helpful with our Spanish speakers. You can find some bilingual texts utilizing Newsela.

Conference Emails
Good afternoon,
Attached is a giant word document. It contains ALL the emails for staff to send for cubs. It is 54 pages; do not copy and paste the entire document. Please only copy and paste your individual letter and send it to your Cubs students. Your individual document has your unique bookings link. This will be very important for Wednesday, as you will be running your Cubs group's conferences. On Thursday, the in person day, families will report to your team room. We will also have a prize, aka jeans days, for booking conferences percentage and attendance percentage. You can have your students make phone calls during Cubs to book the conference, if that would help.
In addition, here is where you can keep track of your bookings and attendance. This will allow us to quickly determine a school-wide attendance percentage, team percentages, and individual percentages. You can always filter by your name to get your group of students.

Make up staff meeting is on Tuesday at 7 AM in the conference room with Mrs. Walentine.
New BMS Calendar in Teams (Raszler): Hello All!
We have created a new BMS Calendar on Teams that shows all BMS activities and events in a month format for easier viewing.
It is located on the BMS Staff Team.
Let me know if you have additions or see changes and I will update it! This will help me a lot as I prepare the Friday Newsletter that goes out to families.
It's still in progress, but September is pretty much done and pasted in below.
Have a great rest of your Monday!
FFVP (Woodworth): lease make sure students are eating the fruit in CUBS, fruit should not be leaving the classroom it will end up in lots of places it should not be.
There have been lots of apples in the hallways.
Any questions please email me.

BMS XC Invitational - Wednesday, September 22 3:30 (Taylor)
Greetings,
On Wednesday, September 22nd we will have our XC meet here at BMS after school. All OPS middle schools will be in attendance so our campus will be a busy place!
We are recommending all staff park in the south lot (Giles Street) on Wednesday, September 22 as we will need to close our North, West and East campus areas temporarily for our races which begin at 3:30PM. You may still park in our west lot but expect delays if you do.
Thank you to all the staff who are working this event! Feel free to come out and cheer on our runners if you're not working it!!
We currently have very strong 7th grade girls' and boys' teams that are looking for top finishes and personal best times. The weather looks to be in the low 70's, full sun, light wind! Perfect day to run for a great time!
Good luck to our amazing BMS XC runners and our coaching staff!!
GO BEARS!!!
