Welcome Back!!!

Thank you to all our faculty, staff, and PTA who made our Red Carpet Event a great success. We loved seeing students strut their stuff as they entered school on our first day of the 2023-24 school year.

PTA Back to School Carnival - August 22nd 5:00-8:00

Come with your family to visit and get to know other families at the school. Watch for a flyer to come home with your child with more information.

Kindergarten Begins

Kindergarten classes begin on August 23rd. Kindergarten students will have early out on August 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Students in grades 1-6 will get out at the regularly scheduled time.

Device Protection Plans

Now is the time to purchase a device protection plan for your child's laptop or ipad that they use at school. This plan will help cover the cost of repairs or replacement if your child should accidently damage their device at school or home. You can purchase a plan for your student through your myDSD Guardian account for $25 for the 2023-24 school year.

Background Checks

All volunteers need a background check through the district. If you have already had one and volunteered in the past year, you will not need to get another one. For more information, click on the image.

Schedule Appointments Early

Appointments for background checks fill up quickly throughout the year. Plan ahead and get your background check completed now so you are ready for any fieldtrips or other events that you would like to help with during the school day. Click on the above image to schedule your appointment.

Meet Our New Teachers!

As you might be aware, we have added a new kindergarten class and third grade class for this upcoming school year. We are pleased to introduce Mrs. Clark as our new kindergarten teacher and Ms. Groneman as our new third grade teacher. We are thrilled to have these 2 incredible teachers join our Oak Hills Team!
