RCE Family Update

August Edition

Great start!

What a great start to the school year... best of my 20 years in education! This is a credit to our wonderful students, families, and faculty/staff.

Just a few announcements below, including a school dance this Friday and a change to our morning drop off.

Let me know if you need anything,

Thomas

New Morning Car Drop Off Procedures

Starting on Monday, 8/15, we will be changing our AM carline to accommodate a larger number of car riders this year. We will be bringing the AM carline around to the front of the school and adding one more entrance. This should double the number of cars we can unload at one time. I have attached a map below with the new drop-off area and the four entrances labeled.

Please help us by pulling all the way around to the front. Your son or daughter will be able to walk through the building from any entrance to get to their classroom.

We hope this helps us start school at 8:30am and eases traffic a little on Madden Bridge Road. Our afternoon carline will remain the same.

Back to School Dance

Our Back to School Dance will be held Friday 8/19 from 3:30-5:00. Students will be dismissed from their 6th period class to attend. This is a fun time for our students to spend time together and enjoy middle school experiences. Admission is $5 and concessions will be sold from $1-$3. Students do not need to dress up or bring a change of clothes, please wear what you would normally wear to school for the day.

Pickup will be in the normal carline. 6th grade students will be picked up from the front of the school with 7th & 8th graders being picked up from the back car loop.

Paying for School Fees at RCE

MySchoolBucks will be our primary way of accepting fee payments. The only fee that every student needs to pay is the $25 Tech It Home fee that is required to receive a student device in SDPC. For our Grade 8 students taking Algebra 1, we do encourage all students to have access to a TI-84 graphing calculator. Students can purchase their own (TI-84CE is also an option) or rent one from RCE for $6. These fees can be paid through the MySchoolBucks button below.
