What's Going on in the Gymnasium?
2nd Quarter
Second quarter went very well for the students! Student had a great time working on their volleyball skills, while playing some volleyball activities. We followed volleyball with basketball skills. The students loved getting to work on dribbling, shooting and passing! Again we worked on fitness which including them charting their sit up scores and push up scores. I have seen tremendous improvement in their scores from the beginning of the year!

Fitness Tips
During class we talk about healthy eating. We talk about making healthy choices. Here are all the topics we discussed:
- Choose to be active
- Choose to eat healthy snacks
- Choose to drink water
- Choose to make smart orders when out to eat
- Choose to eat breakfast
- Choose to eat a healthy breakfast
Ask the following questions to your kids and see how well they retained the health tips:
- What healthy snack can you have that you drink?
- How can you find ways to be more active in your day?
- How many cups of water should we have a day?
- How are you going to make sure that you have breakfast every day?
- How are you going to make sure you eat a healthy breakfast?

American HEART Heroes FUNDRAISER
We are gearing up for our Heart Heroes Event on February 25-28 during PE class. Students will be sent home with information about the fundraiser very soon.
