Principal's Message
Pleasant Union is fortunate to have a history of strong and supportive parental involvement. We value each family and want to continue to partner with our school community. According to the 2020 North Carolina Teacher Working Conditions Survey, Pleasant Union Teachers reported the following regarding Community Support & Involvement:
100% of participating teachers indicated that parents and guardians are influential decision-makers at Pleasant Union
100% of participating teachers indicated that our community is supportive of Pleasant Union
98% of participating teachers indicated that parents and guardians support teachers, contributing to their success at school.
Thank you to all the families that have recently volunteered to support with outdoor lunch and who have registered to volunteer on upcoming field trips. If you have not joined the PTA, please consider doing so. According to numerous research studies and the National PTA, "there is a convincing relationship between family involvement and academic achievement." Thank you for your support of Pleasant Union!
We have lots of exciting grounds improvements going on at our school! Thanks PTA!
Our front sign was powerwashed
Our beautifully painted picnic tables

PUE PTA Message
Bring Back Our Library Campaign!
Part of the PUE mission is to ensure each student has access to a variety of learning resources, many of which are maintained in the school's wonderful Media Center. In recent years more than an insubstantial number of Media Center resources have been lost as a result of student transitions, damage and obsolescence. In line with its mission to continuously support the school, the PUE PTA feels the need to replenish these resources is imperative, and financial help is needed. If you are able, please consider a recurring or one-time donation to help support this integral aspect of our Panthers' educational experience! Donate here!

Pleasant Union DanceFit, Registration opens in 5 days!
In less than 3 weeks, we'll kick off PUE DanceFit on 10/13 (Track 1, 2, 3) and 10/25 (Track 4). Our goal is to raise $23,000 for: Global Programs including STEM & Curriculum Support; Wellness including Counseling and PE; Arts including Art, Music, Media, Cultural Arts; Classroom Teacher Stipends; and Computer Technology. This year, more than ever, we need additional funds to provide an excellent education experience for all students. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at mybooster.com. Sharing IS supporting! All students will take part in the Pleasant Union DanceFit, regardless of financial participation. We will also be following our school safety guidelines to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone. We appreciate your support. More details to come as we get closer to kickoff!
