MRHS's 3rd Annual Senior Citizen Community Thanksgiving Dinner Huge Success!
MRHS Celebrates the Season of Kindness
The Monomoy Regional High School students, along with a host of volunteer staff members and retirees, served local senior citizens a delicious Thanksgiving meal. The food was cooked in our kitchens by Mr. Moynagh, Ms. Freitas and the help of students in our culinary arts program. Beautiful piano music by student Hayden Bowman presented as soothing background for rich conversation and inter-generational connections between guests and students. At the conclusion of apple pie desert, Mr. Burkhead enjoyed taking 15 guests on an hour long tour of the building.
We would like to thank our guests for coming, sharing your stories and history, and supporting our wonderful school. A special guest to Ms. Chilaka and our peer leadership students for organizing the event and to volunteers Ms. Sowpel, Ms. Waystack, Ms. Eastman, Mr. McIntyre, Mr. Moynagh, and Ms. Freitas. Happy Thanksgiving all!
