Inspiration for Your Week
Kudos Korner from the Admin Team
We did a great job with our intruder test! A special thanks to Patricia, Cheri, Phyllis, Chelsea Moore, Christine Hallick, Maria, TV, and Jerry who brought the "intruders" to the front desk because they did not have a visitor sticker on...way to go!!!
Media Center News
District Assessments begin again on Monday, and the media center will be one of the testing locations. Normally, the media center does library inventory the last week of school, before the break, but since students will have limited access to the media center on from the 7th to the 10th, the media center will close to student checkout on the testing days for inventory to minimize limiting student access. Please watch for updates. We will reopen for student passes during those day as soon as inventory is complete. Please plan ahead and make sure that students who need a new book, come to the media center this week.
Counselors' Corner
Teachers please remember that the Holiday Gifts are due to us by Monday 12/14.
Gifts must be wrapped with the red tag attached. Thank you !
Custodian Closet
I would like to invite everyone to check out GEORGIA COMMUTE OPTIONS (formerly known as The Clean Air Campaign and part of Clean and Beautiful). They want to reward Gwinnett County Employees for wanting to BE THE SOLUTION and therefore have some incredible incentives like paying $5 a day up to $150 for those employees that try car-pools, transit, tele work, walk, van pools or bike. You can find all the details about earning money and winning prizes - GaCommuntOptions.com or 1-877-GA-OPTIONS. Look for a poster in the teacher's workroom. Just think if you are already in a car pool you could win in a monthly $25 gift card! Again check out the details!
I have seen and increase of time off requests submitted to me for approval, when selecting your approver please note that Patricia Brown, Head Custodian, can only approve Custodial staff.
I will not be here on December 18, I am attending the University of Georgia graduation, where my future son in law will be earning his PhD in Micro Biology. So I want to remind everyone to STEP into the holiday.
Secure all laptop and kindles over the break

Technology Tips
As we move into the time period for potential school closings due to inclement weather, we should prepare for the possibility that a 4th or subsequent day of school closure may be declared a Cyber Learning Day, with school and learning continuing that day through our digital resources.
A "Cyber Learning Day Information" course page has been launched in eCLASS C&I and is now available for all teachers and administrators (anyone who currently has access to the C&I Communication Centers, such as the MOCC). Please review this page by 12/18 before you leave for the break.

Parent Connection
Meadowcreek High School's Translation Nation Club is sponsoring it's 2nd annual toy drive.
Club members have placed a large box in the entrance of the school (behind the couches) to collect unwrapped toys, electronics and/or winter clothes for kids 0-18 years old.
Items will be given to families in need within the Meadowcreek Cluster.
Please consider donating to support our school community!
