TGIF
You've worked hard and put your all into every day. Thank you for all you do for your students and for each other! I hope you get some much deserved rest and relaxation!
Don't forget!
If you haven't already contacted the parents of the students you are working with in Tier 2, please do so ASAP. Any student receiving Tier 3 services will receive a call from the individual delivering those services, so you don't need to worry about that. It is not required by law to notify parents of students being progress monitored, but you may do so if you'd like.
Don't forget to utilize the PN communication hub Jocelyn set up for us. It lists upcoming meetings and gives you an opportunity to give a shout out to your colleagues! Pat each other on the back...you deserve it!
Early Release Procedures
Don't forget that students go straight to classrooms on our early release days. They are allowed to go to classrooms at 8:10.
Close call
This past week, one of our little first graders managed to leave the gym where she had been seated, walk through the cafe, and exited the building looking for something she thought she had lost. She had wandered out to the sidewalk by Crow Creek when another parent (not hers), saw her and brought her in. Yikes! Now, her parent has reiterated the importance of following our morning procedures and raising her hand for assistance if needed, but let's be extra vigilant in our active supervision as adults as well. If you see a child get up and try to walk out of the gym, please stop them and ask where they are going and who gave them permission to leave. If you are in the cafe, and see a child leave the building, please go get them. Once they are in the building, they should remain in the building.
