Prayer for our community
Dear Lord
Help us to make Our Lady of Mercy a place of love and learning.
Like the Sisters of Mercy, help us to show acceptance and compassion to all we meet.
May we find Strength in our Faith and follow the example of Jesus.
May we respect each other's gifts, care for our environment, and do the best we can.
Help us to spread your good news through our words and actions each day at home, at school and in our community.
Amen
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers
Parent/Teacher Meet and Greet and P&F Sundowner
This Friday our school community comes together to build relationships. Our teachers are looking forward to meeting their students’ parents/carers from 4.30pm - 5.30pm before the start of the P&F Sundowner. Come along and say hello to your child’s teacher and then a lovely evening on our school oval to celebrate the start of the new school year.
Child Safe School
As a Catholic school, we take the safety and well-being of your children very seriously. Our focus on creating and maintaining safe learning environments is a top priority and we are committed to modelling healthy relationships for all our students as we believe that it supports them to be better able to identify healthy behaviours in relationships outside school.
In line with this commitment, we would like to encourage you to start of the new year by talking with your children about the importance of raising any concerns or incidents where they may feel unsafe or uncomfortable with a trusted adult. We want all our students to feel confident and empowered to speak up if they ever encounter a situation that makes them feel uneasy.
We would like to remind you that if your child ever feels unsafe or has any concerns, they should talk to an adult on their trust network whether that’s you, a teacher, or other trusted adult as soon as possible. It is important that we work together to ensure that our school remains a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Thank you working together with us to act in the best interest of your child.
Our Doors are Open
As a leadership team, our doors are always open to parents and carers. If you have any questions, celebrations or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We love getting to know you and your family.
Prayer
We keep our school community in our prayers as we all settle into this new school year. We pray that our students appreciate the blessing of belonging to a school community that nurtures and cares for each individual child. We ask that God opens our students’ hearts and minds to the the learning opportunities available to them, so that they may grow in their love of the Lord and in their service of others.
God Bless you all.

Please bring your bathers, a towel and a change of clothing, as well as a picnic blanket and your own food and soft drinks if you wish. We have a variety of food trucks in attendance on the night that will be selling meals, drinks and treats, so remember to bring money along to the event to purchase food and drinks throughout the evening. The P&F Committee will not be selling anything at this event so please plan accordingly. We look forward to seeing everyone there!'
Foam canon and sensitive skin
The compnay providing the foam canon note advises that their foam mixtures are safe on the skin, however, there's always a risk that it can cause irritation to anyone with sensitive skin, skin allergies or open wounds. They highly advise of this risk before the event to prevent any unnecessary occurrences. After the event, they recommend to rinse off the foam.
