Athletic Shoe Drive Ending
The Thanksgiving break marks the end of our shoe drive fundraiser. Anyone with shoes to contribute should send them to school next week or bring them with you to the Parent Conferences.
New or used sneakers in wearable condition will earn more for us but we will be accepting sneakers and cleats in any condition. Sneakers with rips, holes, separated soles will be recycled.
Many thanks to all of you who have contributed to our Athletic Shoe Drive. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Hovind at lisa.vfhsa@gmail.com
Holiday Shoppe - December 2-5
Vernfield will once again be hosting The Lil' Shopper's Shop® where children can pick out their own holiday gifts for their family and friends. The shop is set up and run by parent volunteers and all gifts are priced from 25¢ to $5.00. There are gifts for parents, brothers/sisters, grandparents, friends, aunts/uncles and even pets!
Shopping budget envelopes listing your child's scheduled shopping day will come home with your child the week of November 18th. You may send cash or purchase a gift certificate for the shop at: https://holidayshop.org/gift-certificates/
Please consider volunteering for a shift to help the kids shop and manage their budgets. Many volunteers are needed to make Holiday Shoppe a great experience, and it's always a lot of fun!
Any questions or interested in volunteering? Please contact Alexandra Ricketts at alexandraricketts@yahoo.com, Lisa Mallon at lisa@mallonhome.com or Juliet Kinch at kinch@comcast.net
Please note: If financial assistance is needed, please contact
Nicole Kissell, (215) 721-0606. All inquiries will be strictly confidential.
Box Tops Update
Our total earnings so far this year are $331.60!
The additional $161.50 was earned through those of you who have been scanning your grocery receipts using the Box Tops app and through the Shop Rite for My School program. Each little submission that an individual makes gets added to our account and these add up to funds for our kids!
This new style of Box Tops may change the way we do our friendly competition in the future but please know that everything you are scanning is getting credited to us if you have specified that you want it to go to Vernfield Home and School. Any questions, please feel free to reach out, mikeandbrooke@comcast.net.
Thanks to all of you who have made the transition to the app! Keep clipping and sending in for this year too!
You can download the Box Tops app from the App Store for iOS devices or Google Play for Android devices. Those of you who shop at Shoprite can earn even more box tops by registering your Price Plus club card at Shoprite for my School.

Rain Forest Animal Assembly
This assembly was made possible with the funds raised by the HSA.
