This Week at Gateway

Gateway Regional Community Newsletter-October 11, 2021

Principal's Message

This past Sunday, the Gateway Regional Marching Band hosted its annual Autumn Thunder! Thank you to all the parent volunteers, our band director Mr. Simpson, and everyone who made the event a success. The students put on an amazing show!

For the 3rd consecutive year, Gateway Girls Tennis has reached the sectional finals. We will host the finals at Gateway on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

I would also like to recognize Gateway Staff Member Doug Skinner for being nominated for Powerschool Mentor of the Year. Candidates are nominated by peers for their ongoing assistance and support. Doug is a valued staff member and helps keep our PowerSchool Information System running as well as maintaining our Chromebooks. It is a recognition very well-deserved.

Gateway Book Club

Gateway Book Club is starting their community service project next week; beginning on Tuesday, the kids will be going to all the homerooms in the high school over the next two weeks, to collect spare change for PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (https://phillypaws.org/). We're trying to raise $500, enough for one week's worth of food and medicine for all the animals in PAWS' care. It would be great if you could make a donation--we have a website where you can donate to our fundraising team online:
