Student Recognition

  • Congratulations to the High School Wrestling Team for their PAC Championship and for qualifying for the PIAA State Dual Championships.

Staff Recognition

  • Congratulations to Dennis Rozak and Mike Shelgren for receiving the PASBO Gold Award of Excellence in School Facilities for 2019. The gold award is the highest level of achievement.
  • Congratulations to Security Officer Alex Davis for outstanding commitment to duty and swift action assisting a student in need.

Happy Retirement!

  • Sally Ditlow, Tax Specialist at Warwick Administration Building effective August 1, 2019. Ms. Ditlow served the Owen J. Roberts School District for 28 years and 10 months.
  • Lucy Galloway, Transportation Secretary for the District, effective June 4, 2019. Ms. Galloway served the Owen J. Roberts School District for 20 years and 3 months.
  • Dennis Rozak, Director of Facilities for the District effective August 2, 2019. Mr. Rozak served the Owen J. Roberts School District for 30 years.
  • Patricia Schumann, Paraprofessional at East Coventry Elementary School effective at the end of the 2018 - 2019 school year. Ms. Schumann served the Owen J. Roberts School District for 24 years.
  • Master Gunnery Sergeant Andrew Worley, NJROTC Teacher at the High School effective June 30, 2019. Master Gunnery Sergeant Worley served the Owen J. Roberts School District for 7 years and 6 months.
  • Margaret Zimmerman, Grade 3 Teacher at West Vincent Elementary School effective at the end of the 2018 - 2019 school year. Ms. Zimmerman served the Owen J. Roberts School District for 12 years.

  • Jaimie Bari, Paraprofessional at East Vincent Elementary School effective April 1, 2019.
  • Frank Kretovich, District Technology Technician for the District effective date to be determined.
  • Keith Kenyon, Maintenance Worker for the District effective March 26, 2019.
  • Art Sirianni, Maintenance Worker for the District effective April 10, 2019.

  • Brannon Billstone, Grade 4 Teacher at West Vincent Elementary School effective March 5, 2019.

Out of State/Overnight Student Trips Approved

  • Ratification for Dan Mancini to participate in the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic in Pittsburgh, PA from March 14-16, 2019.
  • Approval for six (6) high school NJROTC cadets to attend a Military Order of the World Wars Youth Leadership Conference in Valley Forge, PA from March 28-31, 2019.
  • Approval for the high school Ecology Class to travel to the Wetlands Institute and SEAS Cruise in Avalon, NJ on April 24, 2019.
  • Approval for high school AP US Government classes to travel to Washington, D.C. on May 20, 2019.
  • Approval for high school Latin Club to participate in the PAJCL State Convention in State College, PA from May 24-26, 2019.
  • Approval for high school Ecology students to travel to Costa Rica from June 11-19, 2019.
  • Approval for high school football team to attend a football camp from July 13-16, 2019 in Annville, PA.
  • Approval for high school wrestlers to participate in the King of the Mountain Wrestling Tournament from December 13-14, 2019 in Mill Hall, PA.
  • Approval for high school wrestlers to participate in the Escape the Rock Wrestling Tournament from January 18-19, 2020 in Newtown, PA.

Revised Policies

The School Board acknowledged receipt of the following policies for first reading as recommended by the Legislative and Policy Committee from the March 4, 2019 meeting.


  • Policy 223 - Use of Bicycles and Motor Vehicles
  • Policy 224 - Care of School Property
  • Policy 225 - Students and the Police
  • Policy 226 - Searches
  • Policy 227 - Drug, Alcohol, and Mood-Altering Substance Policy
  • Policy 228 - Student Government


The School Board acknowledged receipt of the following policies for second reading as recommended by the Legislative and Policy Committee from the February 4, 2019 meeting.


  • Policy 323 - Tobacco/Nicotine (for Administrators)
  • Policy 423 - Tobacco/Nicotine (for Professional Staff)
  • Policy 523 - Tobacco/Nicotine (for Classified Staff)


The School Board approved the following policies to be moved to regulations.

  • Policy 227A - Student Assistance Program now will be Regulation 236A
  • Policy 227B - Possession, Distribution, Use and Abuse of Tobacco Products now will be Regulation 222A

  • The School Board acknowledged receipt of the Request for Sabbaticals for the 2019-20 school year.
  • The School Board acknowledged receipt of the 2019-20 Staff Recommendations.
  • The School Board approved the middle school and high school fall coaches for 2019.
