Our Charge...

DTCP will engage in a planning process to identify the vision for technology integration in AISD classrooms and develop an implementation plan. The implementation plan will outline the use of technology funds and provide guidance for long term planning. Austin ISD will partner with leading organizations in education, technology and innovation to ensure emphasis on technology integration in teaching and learning, develop metrics, and coordinate implementation plan development.

Group Reflection

What do we think about the assumption that teachers are designers and students are no longer consumers of information, but designers and producers of original content?

Micro PBL

Your table group is now your TEAM. Your “problem” is the following: If your table group had to come up with a mantra, a hashtag, a catchy phrase that incorporate the understanding we have in AISD about what we have learned with regards to technology integration, what would it be? What is the “AISD way” with regards to this important topic? Create a list, graphic or other mode to support your thinking.

RESOURCES:

  1. Examples of other districts motto/hashtag, etc.
  2. Read the Alan November article (s)?
  3. Utilize the information in the Rajoom.
  4. Reference the colored card stock paper with user-friendly design questions and elements.

In addition to these resources, we also have “on the spot” workshops that your teams can explore.
