Move on when ready
Henry County Schools will be hosting a MOWR (Move on When Ready) Information Meeting on Tuesday, January 19 from 6-7 p.m. MOWR is a dual enrollment program in which students in grades 9-12 can earn college credit when enrolled in high school. Learn how your student can get a head start on their college education.
Academy for Advanced Studies
The AAS (Academy for Advanced Studies) will be hosting Open House nights on Tuesday, January 19, Tuesday, January 26 and Thursday, January 4 from 5-7 p.m. AAS is located on the campus of Henry County High School. AAS offers 35 career, technical and agricultural education programs of study. Students can enroll as early at 9th grade.
AAS Registration
Registration the for 2016-2017 school year for the Locust Grove School cluster will be on February 9 and 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Rising 9th grade students can register for classes at AAS with Locust Grove High School Counselors on those nights.

Trip Around Georgia Reminders
- The 2nd payment of $130.00 is due no later than Friday, January 22, 2015
**No refunds possible.**
- Students who are assigned to ISS two times or more/or who receive one assignment to OSS between the dates of November 1 and April 1 will NOT be allowed to attend the trip. Additionally, no refunds will be made. (Any questions or concerns about this policy should be directed to Mr. Townsend. Final decisions will ultimately be made at his discretion.)
- All students who attend the trip must be passing a minimum of three academic classes by April 1, 2015, or they will not be allowed to attend the trip.

Giana Curra is the 7th grade county level winner in the Literacy Days writing competition. She will be representing Henry County at the regional competition in February. Congratulations, Giana!

- 8th grade Volleyball Try-outs will be February 24th 4:25pm-6:00pm
- 7th and 8th grade Final Cuts will be February 25th 4:25pm-6:00pm
- 1st day of practice if you make LGMS Volleyball team February 26th 4:25pm-6:00pm
