Quarter 4 ILPs- DUE TODAY!

The Q4 ILP update window opens May 9th and closes May 27th. Please ensure to complete all ILPs and properly document in TVS.

What should I be doing?
1. Complete ILPs: Remember students who are brand new this quarter need an initial ILP; whereas, returning students need only an ILP update. These are conversations on progress in content classes, education goals, career plans, etc.

2. Document ILPs with the correct template in TVS:

If you have any questions please ask you lead!

Reaching our Goals:
  • InsightSD hit 95% participation for CST

Great job everyone! Testing this season has been a great success. We have just a few more students testing today and a few set for next week. If you have a student that still needs to be tested, please work to schedule a 1/1. We are continuing to proctor the SBAC until we have tested 100% of our students.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our final day for CST testing is 5/31/16, while our final day for SBAC testing is 6/17/16.
For those of you that have paper materials to return please keep in mind the following:

*You will need to return:
test booklets (used or unused)
answer documents (used or unused)
-Sign In Sheets
-Driver’s Consent Forms
-Liability Forms

*You DO NOT need to return:

-DFA’s (Directions for Administration)
-Scratch paper
-Pencils (You may keep them for next year testing, otherwise we will have new pencils to send out next year)

*Send back all materials using a UPS Return Shipment Label from the Main Office:

You should have received a return shipment label with your materials. In some situations (such as emergency packages, make-ups, and 1:1 sessions) you may have not received a label.
Important Note: Please make sure to use a return shipment label from the main office. Any materials sent back not using our return shipment label, may cause inventory errors that will delay returning materials to the state.

If you have any questions, please contact your HLT

Graduation Update

Please see Dana's email (sent 5/23) for important Graduation ceremony updates. There will be two ceremonies, according to student last name. Messaging has already gone to families, but please refer to the email should you receive any questions.

2016-2017 Course Pacing Guides

Now that we are coming into the final stretch of this school year, it is time to plan for the future! Next school year, all courses will follow pacing guides developed by you, our fabulous expert teachers! Previously emailed to all teachers, on 5/19, were instructions on and a recommended timeline for creating these pacing guides, as well as the template to use.

  • Your first step in this process will be to reach out to your partner teacher to determine a schedule of meeting dates/times to work on this project. I have a few things I’d like to go over with each team individually, so I am asking that you invite me to your first meeting. Please try to have this first meeting prior to next Thursday the 26th – just let me know the details and I will try my best to make it fit with my schedule.

Quarter 4 Work Records

  • The work Record roster is now posted in SP. If there is a student missing from the roster and you need to do a work record on them, simply add them to your list.

  • Remember if you are part of the virtual work record pilot program to refer to those directions on uploading into Pathways. If you need those again, please let me know and I will send them your way.

Please let me know if there are any questions.

Homeroom Live Sessions

Because so many of our kids are working extremely hard to pass their classes, we would like all teachers to use this time to reach out to HR students to support them in their efforts. Ideas to support your HR students may include, progress kmail/emails, 1/1 tutoring sessions, small group sessions, phone call reminders to complete work, etc. If you wish to hold homeroom live sessions, powerpoint decks have been uploaded and you may choose from months 5 and 6.
