Attention 7th grade families...

California schools are required to check immunization records for all new student admissions and all students advancing to 7th grade before entry. Parents must show their child's Immunization Record as proof of immunization. Every 7th grade student must show proof of Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) —(usually given at 11 years and up) and Varicella (Chickenpox) — 2 doses (usually given at ages 12 months and 4-6 years). Please take a clear picture of your student's immunization record and email it to bowkerm@mdusd.org by June 30th.

**Proof of immunizations will be required to get your student's 7th grade schedule.

Got Homelink?

HomeLink:

Our entire staff uses HomeLink to communicate with students and parents/guardians about assignments, grades, attendance, and more. Students will have their own HomeLink accounts "Student Portal" and Parents/guardians must create their own portal as well "Parent Portal". It is important to check HomeLink regularly to stay on top of assignments, grades, and attendance. As part of this process, you will need to create a Parent Portal if you do not already have one.

*See "Homelink Direction Form below on how to sign up to create your Parent Portal (for registration you may not use a Student Portal account)

Get Involved in SMS-Sequoia PFC:

Please visit our PFC website to learn more about our 'Parent Club' that supports so much of what we do at Sequoia. In order for us to support our students and do everything we want to at our school, we need each of you to get involved with the PFC in some way. We are excited to be back in person full-time and need parental support to get back to our "Sequoia normal". Help will be needed for Registration days as well as other events and there are some great perks to helping out including getting to meet and get to know other parents as well as SMS staff members!
