LPS TIGER TALK
News from Loveland Primary School 10/8/2021
A Message From The Principal
We are excited about all of the great things happening at LPS - from the new friendships our Tigers are creating to the Literacy Skills they are building! As a staff, we've also been proactively working to support student growth socially while building responsibility and good decision making. This includes explicit teaching around expected behaviors in all areas and reinforcing positive behavior decisions on the bus and here at school.
This past week as part of our Positive Behavior Intervention Supports System (PBIS), the Building Coordinator (Traci Stubenrauch), our School Psychologist (Allison Manning), and I visited every classroom to reinforce expected behaviors in the restroom. We shared the following video with our students: https://youtu.be/y3C0v7p_SdU. We invite you to review the video with your child and discuss how they are doing at school.
In the coming weeks, we will be revisiting other shared areas in the building to reinforce the expected behaviors established at the beginning of the year including the playground, cafeteria, and school bus check-ins with Peaceful School Bus. As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out and connect with your child's teacher. You can also give me a call or send an email to fancheke@lovelandschools.org.
Sincerely,
Kevin Fancher
Principal, LPS

Character Costume Parade
On Friday, October 29th, Loveland Primary School is celebrating Fall Harvest! This is sure to be a fun day, filled with engaging activities and celebrations. One activity planned for the day is a “Storybook Character Costume Parade.” Each child is invited to wear a literary costume for the day. We ask that their costume is a character from a book. For the safety of the children, we request that safe footwear be worn and please no masks. The parade will begin at 1:15pm on the playground (weather permitting). Since this is an outdoor event, based on the established guidelines and protocols of the CDC and the Hamilton County Board of Health, we are able to invite families to join us for the parade portion of our day. If you would like to watch the parade and cheer for your child’s classroom, you will need to arrive at 1:15pm and report directly to the LPS playground which is located behind our school. You should plan to park across the street in Shopper’s Haven and walk up the drive to the right of the building to the playground. Guests will wait until the playground is clear and then will be directed to line either side of the parade route (a coned-off path across the playground). Following the parade (around 1:45), families will be dismissed directly from the playground , but will not be permitted inside due to the current pandemic guidelines in place. In case of inclement weather, please be on the lookout for a Tiger Talk the morning of October 29th as the outdoor parade could be canceled for families.
