Colonial Life
The most difficult times in America
By: Jacob Janoski
introduction
Life in colonial America was tough, challenging, and new. The first winter was making colonial America dreadful because they didn't have much insulation to keep away the frost bite nibbling their fingers. Getting food was hard especially in the winter when the crops died. The landscape was new, they didn't know where the bears live and when they hunted. This how I know colonial America 1607-1703 was tough, challenging, and new.
HOUSING
The housing in colonial America was very cold in the winter but in the summer time it was good living . I know that because frost-bite was the main reason people died in the winter. But in the summer time people were harvesting left and right boys some men getting cotton from the fields. Horses roaming around not freezing.this is how I know the housing in colonial America was very cold in the winter but in the summer time it was good living.
Getting food
Getting food was hard enough if you think getting food in the winter was hard . It was pretty hard you couldn't just go hunt a Deer you had to go set a trap and some times you wouldn't even catch a thing . Some snow would or might set it off or you might just catch a rabbit . People would starve to death. This is how I know getting food in the winter was hard.
landscape
The landscape was new, they didn't know where to live to not get lots of snow. The colonist's didn't know where good soil was to keep a garden. The colonist's didn't want snow because they didn't want it freezing their plants. The colonist didn't know where bears hunted. This is how I know the landscape was new.
conclusion
Life in colonial America was tough, challenging, and new. This is what disribes colonial america in 1607-1703. The houses in these time's didn't have much insulation. Getting food in the winter was challenging. The landscape was especially new. This is what described colonial America.
