Background
The perch's scientific name is Perca flavescens while the family is Percidae. Perch are carnivores. They are mostly found in fresh water. they eat smaller fish, shellfish, or insect larvae, but can eat anything. They commonly spawn during the spring. many fishermen hunt for fish.The general perch is somewhat long and rounded.
Objectives
The objective of dissecting a perch was to see all the interal organs and to see how they work together to let the perch live its daliy life.
Extra Infomation
Perchs have more than 6000 species and over 150 families. many fish are found in the great lakes. they come in many different colors. The perch has a operculum to protect the gills.
