Weekly Report
Hi there! This was a very difficult week for the kids I know. It is so difficult to be out of the classroom for days at a time. I have not been that sick as an adult for a very long time. I plan on resting over the long weekend.
Timed tests are continuing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some kids are ready for division tests. Please make sure your child is practicing these facts. Kids should be through 6s by now. Thank you for the help at home! Many are doing spectacular. The Topic 5 test will be on Tuesday now. The extra credit is due by Tuesday as well.
Remember that reading logs are due on Mondays or the first day following a weekend. Several kids received a missing for not turning these in the last few weeks. This is an easy A+. Please get them done each week!
Our weather is very unpredictable. Kids come in from recess without mittens and are very upset that their hands are so cold. Please make sure they are prepared. If you need help with this, please let me or Mrs. Pilewski know.
Reading--No story this week. There will be a Unit 3 test next Friday. We will study for it here at school next week.
Math--We are going to work on some perimeter and area all week and have a short quiz on Friday. We will skip around Topic 6.
Spelling--No list no test next week.
Social Studies--3rd quarter news stories can present on Monday. Great job on getting a head start on this assignment. We will begin Chapter 7 Citizenship. Science-We will finish up our mystery science lesson. We are building ramps and testing how to make objects travel with less friction. We will have a test over the mystery on Thursday. The link to review is on Google Classroom.
English--We will continue Unit 3 and work on subjects and predicates. We will have a short quiz on Friday.
