Roynon Raccoon Report
March Newsletter All About Roynon
A Message from Roynon's Principal
It is a busy time for our Roynon Raccoon community. We successfully completed the Great Kindness Challenge and the Kids Heart Challenge. In addition, we celebrated Read Across America Week this past week. Parent Conferences are being held right now (March 4 - 7) for those students not currently meeting grade level standards and by parent request. This Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are MINIMUM DAYS, with all students being dismissed at 12:35. Second trimester report cards will be sent home on Thursday, March 7. March 8 is a Student Free Day, as elementary teachers will be participating in a Staff Development day. In addition, there will be no school during Spring Break, April 1 - 5.
Information was recently sent home regarding our annual spring fundraiser, The Roynon Raccoon Run, scheduled for Friday, March 29. This is a MINIMUM DAY and the last Friday before Spring Break. We need donations and volunteers. More detailed information can be found in this newsletter.
The Roynon Raccoon Run.was a huge success last year. We received positive feedback and reached our school goal of $50,000. We know that with your support, we can reach this goal AGAIN! Please take time to look at the large envelope that was sent home with your child.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Together, we can ensure that great things happen every day in the lives of our children.
Your Partner in Education,
Tammi DiGrazia
Roynon Principal

Roynon Beautification Committee
The Roynon Beautification Committee is a nonprofit organization comprised of former and current teachers, parents and community members. We believe that a beautiful setting will improve the learning experience for our students as well as help to make our community a beautiful place. Our committee maintains Roynon Elementary's two campuses year round. We raise money through fundraisers and donations to improve our school.

We love to welcome new members to beautification. Anyone interested in joining, or just interested in finding out what we’re all about, is welcome at any meeting. Our meetings are held at 3 PM the first Tuesday of every month in the Roynon library.
The Seven Habits of Healthy Kids
In order to enhance the social emotional learning of our students, Roynon is learning about the Seven Habits of Healthy Kids this year. Each month, we focus on a different habit.
This month's focus is Habit #7 – SHARPEN THE SAW. For those of you who are interested in extending Habit 7 to home, below are some ideas.
