Buzz Update - Assistance for Online Students to Submit Google Drive Documents
Buzz (our Learning Management System where students do their coursework) will be updating their Google Drive integration in the upcoming weeks. This is part of ongoing efforts to ensure security; Google now displays a warning message when accessing Google Drive.
End users who attempt to attach or submit a google document without first logging into Google must allow pop-ups from the Buzz site to allow Google to prompt you for your Google Drive login credentials. If pop-ups are blocked, students will get an "Unable to communicate with Google Drive" error in Buzz.
Below are some helpful links on how to change settings to allow for pop ups and also the link on Google's support site related to the change:

Emails were sent to students, parents/guardians,and LEGs/Coaches on December 11 regarding this update to Buzz.

Changes to Genius: Gradebook View to Incorporate Additional Feedback
We are continually looking for ways to provide additional data to support students progress and success in their online and blended learning experiences.
Recently, you may have noticed an update in Genius allowing users (LEGs, students and parents with Guardian accounts) to see additional feedback teachers have left on assignments.
- In Genius Click on the Student Tab and a specific student's name
- On the left navigation Enrollment menu select Gradebook
- Choose or select the radial dial in front of the course you want to see details on
- Review the new Feedback column
Please note that the feedback shows specific comments the online teacher left, but there may be other feedback such as:
(1) instant feedback on auto graded items like true and false questions or multiple choice questions on assessments;
(2) comments on a Google documents.
These items do not feed through to this feedback area in Genius. Students should always click on the score on their performance grade page or the activity stream in Buzz to see the complete feedback details on work submitted.
