Tumuaki Korero

Tēnā koutou,

Welcome to term 2! I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely break with their families. It is so lovely to have the children back at school, happy and settled and ready for a busy term ahead.

Next week our Year 4-6 students will be participating in Ride On Skills and later in June the whole school will be attending the ASB Theatre for Upbeat Orchestra and First Class Brass Band Performance. There will be other events happening and we will keep you updated as they are confirmed.

Many of you will have noticed that the old sand has been removed and our new golden silica sand is being delivered on Friday! If you are available after 11.30am to help move the new sand into the sandpit, it would be very much appreciated. If you have a shovel, bring that along as well. So exciting!

There will be opportunities to support the school coming up with fundraising, planting our native garden, weeding plus many other things. If you think you would be interested in helping out in some way, pop in and see us in the office or have a chat with the classroom teacher.

We are so lucky to have the delicious and healthy lunches provided for our children. We are encouraging all our children to try the food provided, even if it is to sample a teaspoon. We also ask that if you're packing a lunch for your child, we are focusing on a healthy environment at school and would appreciate any food provided is in a reusable container. Thank you for your support.

Have a fantastic week everyone.

Taekwon-Do

Legion Taekwon-Do is a dynamic martial art, and it is also an exciting sport suitable for all ages and abilities. Classes are for everyone from beginners to advanced levels.

Focused mind, disciplined body and pure spirit through community participation is our motto. Keeping this in mind, we encourage individual growth through a family feel atmosphere whilst practicing Taekwon-Do techniques.

Fees will be free to any Spring Creek School students and to the Spring Creek community. Classes will be Monday 3:15 - 4:15 pm in the Spring Creek Hall from this term. Families need to arrange for their children to go to the hall after school.
