Inspirational Quote
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
~John 11:25-26
Good Friday Prayer
O Jesus, Who by reason of Thy burning love for us
hast willed to be crucified
and to shed Thy Most Precious Blood
for the redemption and salvation of our souls,
look down upon us here gathered together
in remembrance of Thy most sorrowful Passion and Death,
fully trusting in Thy mercy;
cleanse us from sin by Thy grace,
sanctify our toil,
give unto us and unto all those who are dear to us our
daily bread,
sweeten our sufferings,
bless our families,
and to the nations so sorely afflicted,
grant Thy peace,
which is the only true peace,
so that by obeying Thy commandments
we may come at last to the glory of heaven.
Amen.
St. Dismas' Feast Day - 3/25
- Two other men, both criminals, we also led out with him to be executed... One fo the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!"
- But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "We are punished justly, but this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
- Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you today you will be with me in Paradise."

Annual Salute Dinner Nets All-Time Record for Catholic School Tuition Assistance!
With a sell-out crowd of nearly 1,900 guests, this year's Salute to Catholic School Alumni event generated a new record high $750,000 in net proceeds, shattering the previous year record of $665,000. All of the funds from the Salute will be used to provide tuition assistance to families who cannot afford the full cost of Catholic elementary education for their children in the Archdiocese of Louisville.
His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York
- Timothy Michael Dolan is an American Cardinal prelate of the Catholic Church. Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI, Dolan serves as the tenth and current Archbishop of New York.
Cardinal Dolan provided a rousing keynote address calling on everyone to expand the mission of Catholic education. Among several themes, Cardinal Dolan stressed the importance of Catholic education and the widespread benefits that it provides to Catholic school students, families and our communities. Getting Ipad “APPY” in Primary Grades!
Over the past two weeks, I have been working with kindergarten and 1st grade with new Ipad apps for the classroom. The first app that we experimented with was Facetalk.
Facetalk is an app that allows the user to take a picture, of someone else or a selfie, and make it talk! We learned how to use the camera to take pictures of each other and edit to make the face fit into a template (we learned to pitch and pull). We also learned how to click and drag a mouth to fit the mouth in the picture. After all this, we were able to record our voices!
The students were able to react to the book of the month, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, by discussing which version of the story that they believed and why. The students picked up on this very quickly, and they turned out really cute!
Here is the Kindergarten Facetalk video.

Pic Collage
The next app that we experimented with was Pic Collage.
Pic Collage can be used a multitude of ways in the classroom. This app is basically a way to organize photos in a collage by using backgrounds, templates, stickers, etc.
The First grade used this app to review addition problems. Here are a few examples:
