Danger of Bullying
Zach Millsaps
Relationship
It seems that a big step in protecting your child form bullying of any kind is to try and maintain a healthy relationship with your children. When you have a good relationship, your kids will find it easier to come and talk to you about any problems that they are having.
Social Media
Facebook is growing more and more popular. If your child does have a facebook page try and help manage it so that nothing is posted that shouldn't be.
Help Stop Bullying
Bystander intervention is less likely with cyber bullying because it is online and select few could potentially see the bullying occur.(Morgan, pg 3). This is just another reason why you should keep watch on your children's social media.
Block
On most social media sites a "block" button can be found. Inform your kids of this so that if ever someone is bullying them online all they have to do is block them. This is a very simple way to stop cyber bullying.
Social Media
More so than classrooms it seems that bullying has been taken to another level. Online cyber bullying has now grown to be a bigger problem that bullying at school. Name calling as well as other verbal abuse can be taken to a whole other level online.
