Creating Accounts Safely

You're Not As Safe As You Think You Are
Your user names, e-mail addresses and passwords are crucial for your internet security, so keep that in mind when you’re setting up an account on whatever site, forum or social media site you choose. The dangers out there in the online world are many: someone could try to trick you into revealing your personal data or downright steal it and use it to get into your bank account. And how about those pesky spam messages that clog up your inbox and waste your time?
Creating Accounts Safely
Step 1
- Use both numbers and letters when creating your email address. (That way it saves you from spammers)
- Create more than one address.
- Use the second one to sacrifice unknown websites, forums, and blogs.
Step 2
- Create a unique user name. That way it wont be easy for internet crooks to guess your email address.
Step 3
- Use strong passwords when creating your accounts.
- Include letters, numbers, and keyboard symbols.
- Use at least 7 characters
- Don't use your username, your real name, or pets' name as your password.
Step 4
- Make sure to look after your passwords
- Never share your passwords with anyone, unless it's your parents. (you never know where an internet security breach may appear from)
- Don't type your password when others can see what you're typing
- Have a unique password.
- change it every few months
- Don't write passwords down. (Use memory tricks or ideas to remember)
