Dropping off lunches during the school day
Even one phone call per day causes an interruption of instruction which sidetracks the teacher and the students. Often, more than one lunch for a classroom is dropped off; this only increases the number of interruptions.
So, what can we do instead?
- Let your child know you will be dropping off their lunch in the office.
- At the beginning of their lunchtime, the student comes to the office to retrieve it.
Thank you, in advance, for your understanding!
VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools)
Some volunteers (parents, guardians, grandparents, community members, etc.) are on campus very little throughout the year. Perhaps they just want to go on one field trip with the students or want to help out at a special grade-level event. It is important that everyone understands that even just for ONE activity/event, you MUST have VIPS clearance in order to participate. There are absolutely no exceptions!
So, get your clearance now so if something comes up and you want to join us, you are cleared and ready to go!!!
Applications are available at Prisk or you can download an application on our district website. Click here or on the image to your left to go directly to the district's A-Z index!
