A Message from Principal Blair
Happy New Year JMS Family & Friends,
January is School Board Recognition Month! We are so grateful to have a school board that supports the needs of our staff, students, and the Jarrell ISD community. Over the past few years, our schools have faced unprecedented challenges. Amidst the challenges, our School Board members are "Rising Above", becoming change agents, innovative thinkers, and problem solvers. This month we recognize you for your servant leadership to Jarrell ISD!
This week, individual student data reports will be mailed home documenting Math and Reading progress. Included are two different reports:
1) Star Family Report - Predicts overall performance level
- Math - Indicates % mastery in Algebraic concepts, Data, and Number and Operations
- Reading - Indicates % mastery in Comprehension, Foundational Language Skills, along with Lexile score
2) Star Annual Progress - Analyzes performance over time for Semester 1

Participants will also include Mr. Childs (Assistant Principal), Mrs. Hardt (Counselor), the student and parent.
