Inclement Weather?
At BMSA we try to get out and play as often as weather allows. Recess is an important time to get fresh air, stretch, and play. We follow West Ada district policy and keep students inside when temperatures fall below 20f with wind-chill. We have our own weather station here at BMSA to monitor conditions. Students should come dressed to play outside depending on temperature and conditions expected throughout the day. https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KIDMERID54 We also go out if it's raining or snowing as long as it's not a heavy rain. Any thunder, lightning, hail, or severe winds, or slick conditions, we would stay inside.
Air Quality
We monitor air quality and use the nearest monitor station at St.Lukes Meridian. Red air quality all students are inside, orange; sensitive groups alerted through the nurse stay in, yellow and green all are outside. https://aqicn.org/city/usa/idaho/st-lukes-meridian/
Before School
If we need to stay inside prior to the morning bell, students will come to the gym to sit down and wait.
