Be a Teen Volunteer

We have several opportunities for teens to volunteer at the Main Library this semester. Every time you volunteer you help out your community and can earn service hours.

* Book Besties--sign-up to be a reading mentor to a younger kid, age 4-8. We will meet on Tuesday afternoons after school from 4:30-5:15, October 6th & 27th

* Maker Mondays--for high school students: sign up to volunteer to help kids with maker projects each week. 5:00-6:30, October 5th & 26th.

* Adventure Time--sign-up to help out weekly with our program for elementary age kids. On Thursdays from 4-5 pm.

* Boo Dell Festival--sign-up to dress up as a book character or hand out candy on the trail of treats at Yew Dell Gardens on October 31st!

Haunted Library: After Hours Murder Mystery: Saturday, October 10th from 7-11 pm.

Join us in costume for a teen murder mystery party, after the library closes. We'll have a mystery to solve, play hide-n-seek and have plenty of spooky food!

Teen Book & a Movie Club: Thursday, October 8th @ 5:30 pm

For our October meeting, we'll watch "The Duff" and talk about the book that inspired the hilarious film. Pizza, popcorn & snacks for all! Main Library

Teen Writer's Studio: Thursday, October 1st & 15th @ 6:00 pm

For teens who love to write and would like to share their stories and get feedback from other teen writers. Bring what you've been working on and we'll help you make it even better! We are also starting a new collaborative writing project. Email Julie for details, juliew@oldhampl.org. Main Library
