We are now required to use Aesop. If you are already in the system, you can login using your id# preceded by 000; and the last 4 digits of your SS# as the pin. It will give you an option to code the type of absence and request a particular sub. If the meeting is in Eduphoria, sign up in Edupohria first.

KISD Book Lists

Our first meeting of the 2015 - 2016 year is on Oct. 15. If you would like to serve on the committee, you are committing to reading books, posting about the books you read and commenting on other posts. You are committing to attend all meetings and participate in discussions. The Trailblazer and Maverick Committees meet from 8:00 - 11:00. The Chuckwagon and Cowpoke committees meet from 12:30 - 3:30. The meetings will be Oct. 15, January 27, and April 5. (EDC) Bring books that you have read to suggest to the committee. If you have read WOW books but are not on the committee, you can still suggest books for the list. The chair people will send instructions on posting books, titles, and reviews.

Destiny Training

Tom Bolger and Tammy have offered to meet with us and help us with Destiny. Tom will also show us the Destiny Curriculum Connection. This training is optional, I will pay for a sub if you would like to attend and need one. Be sure to sign up in Edupooria.

Thank You, Wonderful Librarians!!!

I continue to be blown away by the fantastic KISD Librarians! Although we have had struggles getting all the kinks worked out with Destiny, everyone has been amazing!!! You have helped one another and kept going. The tone has been very positive no matter what has come up. I am very fortunate to work with all of you and want you to know how much I appreciate each and every one of you!

It is time to get the TCEA registration forms in and get the hotel reservations. We had quite a few people express interest in attending various conferences. It is very difficult to change or cancel reservations, I need you to commit to attending if you send the form. Please email the completed PD form to me by Monday, Sept. 14. I will notify you if you will be going by Wednesday, Spet. 16. Unfortunately, there is a limit to the number of people attending conferences due to the high expenses but I will try to send as many as possible. At this point, we will pay registration, hotel, and sub. Hopefully, we will stay at the Drury, 3 to a room. Please look at the TCEA conference schedule and decide which days you want to go as well as if you want the basic or premium registration. I will not automatically do the premium. It will depend on the sessions you would like to attend. If you attend, you will be asked to do a presentation at one of the meetings.

Book Battle (Elementary)

Thank you Amanda for all of your hard work getting things together for the "2015 - 2016 KISD Elementary Book Battle." There will be a brief meeting of those who are interested after the meeting on Sept. 15. If you are interested and haven't gotten the information, please let Amanda or Amy know.
